KYRGYSTAN 2010 - Mountaineering first ascents
A small group of us joined Pat Littlejohn
in 2010 and travelled to the At Bashi area to explore a range of
glaciated limestone peaks north of the better-known Western Kokshaal-too.
We travelled in a 6 wheeled former Russian military
vehicle through riverbeds and security checkpoints. From the
Advanced base camp we recorded four first ascents together with two
high points - with Point Atta (Fathers Point) named after David’s
Father- from which there was an amazing view of the Mustabbes
Glacier.
